Think big

Processing, Packaging and Material Handling - FIERAMILANO, RHO - MILAN - ITALY - 24-28 MARCH 2009

An exhibition that reflects the market

IPACK-IMA visitors accurately represent the production network: from big international companies to medium and small-sized Italian companies. The latter, in particular, are very well represented and many of them only visit IPACK-IMA to shop for technology (62% of medium and small-sized companies visiting IPACK-IMA do not visit other exhibitions). IPACK-IMA is an unparalleled reference event for market players of the food industry in general and for those of the dry pasta industry in particular. It is the main event dedicated to Grain-Based Food technology and it is the only exhibition worldwide to display technology for the production of dry pasta: market players from all over the world meet here to look for the most competitive and innovative solutions to process and package pasta, bread, pizza and snacks.

The beverage industry is always well represented as well (juice, milk, soft drinks and mineral water).
IPACK-IMA keeps up with new trends in the market and represents the most dynamical segments.
In this view, the 2009 edition emphasized those companies presenting competitive packaging solutions for Pet Food. It emphasized those companies presenting cutting edge materials for the Ready Meal industry. It has finally emphasized companies valuing environmental-friendly solutions, especially bio-plastic.

Still, IPACK-IMA appeals to players from the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, chemical, building and consumer goods industries.
An interesting new entry is the area dedicated to Contract Packaging, in which companies will have the opportunity to meet potential partners to outsource packaging activities.

Also, all segments feel the need to identify, trace and handle sensibly packaged products. The Labeltrack logo will mark exhibitors specialized in this area. Business area in IPACK-IMA will be identified through thematic routes which, as in the past editions, are a valuable tool to plan and organize the visit to the exhibition .
